Melanie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families. She provides treatment for concerns including anxiety, depression, codependency, adolescent challenges, and relationship issues.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion from the University of Alabama and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Campbellsville University. Melanie is certified in Prepare/Enrich and has completed Level 1 Training in the Gottman Method for marital therapy.
With a professional background in the fitness industry, Melanie is passionate about supporting clients in improving their overall health and wellness. She helps clients develop greater awareness of their emotional response patterns and understand how these emotional processes influence their relationships with others and with themselves. This insight fosters meaningful, lasting change.
As a client-centered therapist, Melanie prioritizes each client’s unique goals and tailors sessions to meet their individual needs. She collaborates with clients to examine and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs while developing practical, personalized strategies to support progress and long-term growth.
Therapeutic Approaches include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Gottman Method, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
